You can of course put together a new saddle as you wish. Dressage, jumping, brown, black, special details and so on. But the most important thing is of course the fit for your horse and for you.
Measuring a new saddle starts with the horses back. After looking at the back of the horse, whether it is flat, normal or deep, a ‘flat’, ‘semi’, or ‘curved’ tree is chosen. (The curved one is the most commonly used).
The size of head plate is the next important part, because it ensures, among other things, that the saddle remains in place and remains free from the withers, so that the horse can move freely. WOW offers more sizes then any other saddle!
Then the panels are chosen. They are available in 15 different types as standard. It is even possible to give a horse with a short back, for example, 17″ panels under an 18″ seat. You can realize a maximum of 1 size difference in this.
Then the girthing system remains for the horse, here is again as much as possible to keep the saddle in the right place and to allow the horse to move freely.
Then you as the rider are the next important thing and the answer to the question of what you want to do with it needs to answered.
The seat is chosen, it has different types such as a shallow deep and an extra deep seat. This is mainly important for the rider. The size is of course also important, because the rider must fit nicely in it. But the saddle must also come to lie between the 7th rib and the 18th rib. The sizes are available from 16″ to 19″.
Then the flaps are the last step. These mean a little less to the horse, but all the more to the rider. Everything is possible with different knee rolls for extra support, up to different ways of attaching.
Testing
When everything has been measured in detail, you start ’test riding’. You should of course be able to see and feel how the horse moves under this unique new saddle. In addition, you should be able to feel how you can sit in it yourself!
The saddle is filled with a standard amount of air and is adjusted during your test ride. This so you can experience what this can mean for you and your horse.
Then you pronounce the same as all those other riders who went before you and say exactly what gave the WOW saddle its name: “WOW!”
Now you are of course wondering what such a WOW saddle will cost you?
Of course, this depends on all the different options that can be chosen, but a saddle with the flair system made to measure for you and your horse starts at € 2550,=
