Like a traditional wool-filled saddle, a WOW saddle also needs maintenance.
The horse changes in condition during the year. It is therefore best to have your WOW saddle checked a least twice a year and adjusted where necessary.
This is of course easily possible with the flair system. These consist of four different compartments, each of which can contain more or less air individually.
But the head plate may also need changing, because most horses, for example, put on condition on spring grass and loose condition during the winter period.
The saddle can only do its job perfectly if it is fitting correctly. It even happens that when a horse has been fitted with a WOW saddle, it grows several tree sizes in six months! This is because the horse now suddenly has the space to grow, where this was simply not possible before.
Everybody -Wow or wool filled saddle owners- should make it to a routine to check their saddles more often. Because it is very important to have this in order and to have it checked regularly and adjusted where necessary.
